The original concept of the company was sparked by the difficulties many American wine producers
experienced in shipping their wines in a timely manner to their European customers. A survey of
other New World wineries revealed similar issues and hassles: Complex import duty, customs and
tax structures, and the unfamiliar business environment in general.
However, the
broken process that cost every one of these companies the most was the inability to
effectively prevent costly stock outs on retail shelves. This created an urgent and compelling need for
a wine delivery system capable of shipping anywhere within Europe within 72 hours notice from a
single centralized location.
Hence forth, Wine Logistics International was born - A company whose new-world origin management
has "been there" and who understood needs on both sides of the ocean. We are the first specialist
wine supply chain business process provider (see definition click: BSP) in Europe to focus on New World Wines.
We have developed our business strategy to cater to the growing number of
front-runner wine producers who see the value of outsourcing to such BSPs.
Today we ship over 400,000 of case per year. With our new location we will be able to ship
over 1,000,000 cases per year. We serve wine producers located all over the new world, including the US,
Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand.
